TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu(-/L/D)
The guide will meet you at airport, and transfer you to hotel. Afternoon go to visit Durbar Square. The Durbar Square lies in the heart of Kathmandu. Locally also called as Hanuman Dhoka Palace Square-an ancient seat of the Nepalese Royalty. The Duibar Square Complex consists of a huge Royal Square imposing a tremendous variety of temples dedicated to different Hindu gods and goddess. Most of the buildings we see here date from 15th to 18th century. Some of the important monuments to be seen here are: Taleju temple-, Jagannath temple, Kal Bhairav, Kumari Ghar, Kasthamandap - built from the timber of a single tree.

Day 2 Kathmandu (B/L/D)

After breakfast, go to visit Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) which is one of the most fascinating architectural jewels of the world. This great Stoup is said to have been built around 250 B.C. The Stupa of Swoyambhunath stands on a typically stylized lotus mandala base-a long time ago believed to have originated from a legendary lake of Kathmandu Valley.This holy site in fact is the massive stupa complex ever built in Nepal. After lunch go on the trip to Boudha Nath Stupa. Located in the routes to trade between Tibet and Nepal, one of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, Boudhanath is an imposing structure standing some 36 meters. The Stupa stands on the massive three level mandala style Platforms surrounded by colourful private family houses. The basic feature of this great stupa is very much like that of Swoyambhunath stupa except its finial displaying. and then visit Pashupatinath Temple and Patan City.

Day 3 Kathmandu - Lhasa (-/-/-)

Meet your tourguie at the airport and then transfer to hotel.
Day 4 Lhasa (B/L/-)
The first day of sightseeing starts from Lhasa's cardinal landmark - Potala Palace, a structure of massive portions. It takes at least a good 2-hour to visit those rooms, halls and chapels. Have Chinese Lunch at Tibet Steak House. Some 2km to the east of the Potala is the most revered religious structure in Tibet - Jokhang Temple. The quadrangle of streets surround the Jokhang is the Barkhor - Lhasa's most interesting pilgrimage circuit. This area of the Old Town is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans.

Day 5 Lhasa - Shigatse (B/L/-)

After breakfast ahead for Shigatse. On the way go to visit Tashilunpo Monastery and Yomdrok Lake. Painted in red and white, the buildings in the kloster stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view. Tashilunpo Kloster represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the Last Tibetan spirit. And Yomdrok Lake It lies within the boundary of Nankartse county, on the north bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhokha Prefecture, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful Holy lake which everybody is looking forward to.

Day 6 Shigatse - Lhasa (B/L/-)

On the way back ot Lhasa, visit the Palgor Chorten. Pelkhor Choede (Kumbum), also named Palcho Monastery, is very different from other monasteries. Built as a Tibetan monastery, its structural style is very unique, reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas. In addition, it is famous for the architecture, sculpture, and mural painting art. It lies about 230 kilometers (143 miles) south of Lhasa and 100 (62 miles) east of Shigatse at the foot of Dzong Hill.

Day 7 Depart Lhasa (B/-/-)

After breakfast, go to visit Yambajan. It is famous for its hot spring and is a nice choice for those who want to get a close look at the Tibetan herders (drokpa) and their semi-nomadic lifestyle. Covering an area of about 150,000 square meters, Yambajan, 87 kilometers away from Lhasa, is situated in the basin at the foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountains to the northwest of Lhasa. Have lunch at local restaurant, in the afternoon, go on trip to Lake Namtso which is the second largest saltwater lake in China. The lake is beautiful with its azure water and surrounding snow capped peaks. There is a gravel road from Damxung to the lake. In the rainy season, the route can be quite difficult.

Day 8 Departure from Lhasa (B/-/-)
You will be free till be transferred to the airport for flight to your next destination.

Please note:Pick up time will be within 30 minutes of the time shown on your voucher, however our supplier will contact you at your hotel, the day before your tour, to confirm your actual pick up time. Please kindly note that during dry season (December until March), the boat may not be able to reach Yangshuo due to low water levels. No refund will be given, even if the cruise needs to be shortened.
