TOUR ITINERARY:

DAY 1 LHASA

Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to hotel to take rest for acclimatization of the high altitude.

DAY 2 LHASA

In the morning pick up from your hotel, visit the Potala Palace, which was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama's. After lunch go to visit Jokhang temple, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where innumerable pilgrims come for worship everyday. The Jokhang temple was built in 647, is the earliest wood-and-masonry structure still existing in Tibet. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is the Barkhor Bazza, there you can find many kinds of local products. In the end visit Norbulingka which is the summer palace of Dalai Lama. Transfer back to your hotel.

 

DAY 3 LHASA

Visit Sera monastery, which was created in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary, lies 4 km north of Lhasa, It is here that the monks' famous daily debates take place, at 3:30pm. Sky burials are still occasionally practiced at Sera. The Yamdruktso Lake is about 100 Km away of Lhasa, you can combine Sera Monastery or Drepang Monastery into Yamdok lake in one day trip.

 

DAY 4 LHASA

Transfer you to the airport.
