  Classical China Rail Tours Itinerary:

Day 01 Arrival in Beijing ( Meals: -/-/- )

Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city. (if you want you can add some tour today at our surcharge, please let us know your flight land time and we can add it for you. )

Day 02 Beijing ( Meals: B/L/SD )

Breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Coal Hill Park, wherer you can have a bird view of the Forbidden City. Then visit Tiananmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, the Forbidden City as the Palace Museum, the Chinese imperial palace from the middle of Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Temple of Heaven  with its outstanding round shape, covered by an exquisite triple roof of blue tiles. It is the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty worshiped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Lunch at local restaurant. After the whole day tour, dinner we preparted The Beijing Duck Dinner which served at the famous restaurant - Quanjude, Chairman Mao said we will pass Quanjude to our generations for ever during the Culture Revelotion. After Quanjude Duck Dinner, you will enjoy a lively Peking Opera performance ( or Kung Fu Show or Acrabatic Show ) at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03 Beijing ( Meals: B/L/D )

Breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall where is not too commerchial compare with Badaling Section ( You also can change to visit Badaling ) Located among the orchards and pines in the mountains to the north of Beijing, the Great Wall of China was constructed and reconstructed at Mutianyu to keep out the nomadic tribes to the north.  Lunch at local restaurant. Come to learn, touch, and explore the history of a Wall built over 300 years ago, yet which remains largely intact as it snakes endlessly across the mountain ridgelines. and the Sacred Way which means the road leading to heaven, Enjoy a walk along the Sacred Path leading to the necropolis. Visit the Ming Tomb of Changling, the largest one where emperor Yongle was buried.  Although not excavated itself, it displays the artifacts found in the Ding Ling Tomb. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 04 Beijing - Xian by soft sleeper train( Meals: B/L/- )
Breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Bird's Nest and Water Cube 29th Olympic National Stadium, and the Summer Palace, built in 1888, it was once a summer retreat and the imperial park for emperors. Transfser to the Beijing railway station and take the soft sleeper train to Xian in the afternoon. Dinner will be by yourself at the train.

Day 05 Xian ( Meals: B/L/SD )
Our guide will pick you up at the railway station at morning and transfer to your hotel. Breakfast at the local restaurant or KFC or McDonalds near the arrival train station. Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the most significant archeological excavations of the20th century. It has been regarded as THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD! Lunch at local restaurant. visit the Great Mosque, is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China, the Muslim Street, Moslem Street is the hub of the Moslem community in Xian City. After visit Mulim street, you will have a optional  tour which is tour to Gao Yue Song’s ancient style Folk House, formerly high rank official during the Ming Dynasty some 300 years ago. This house won UNESCO Prize for Cultural Heritage Protection in Asian-Pacific Area in 2002 and you will be delighted to see a dying art: Shadow Play Opera which played by farmers. Dinner enjoy famous Dumpling Banquet .

Day 06 Xian-Guilin by soft sleeper train( Meals: B/L/- )
Breakfast at your hotel.visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which situated at south of the Xian city,as one of the main constructions in the famous Buddhist temple-Da-Ci-En Temple, the pagoda is one of the most distinctive and outstanding landmarks for Xian City, the City Wall, It is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world, Shaanxi Provincial Museum, which is the largest comprehensive museum in the province. Transfser to the Xi’an railway station and take the soft sleeper train to Guilin in the afternoon. Dinner will be by yourself at the train.

Day 07 Guilin (Meals: -/-/- )
Arrive in Guilin in the night and our Guilin guide will pick you up at the railway station .Transfer to your Guilin hotel.

Day 08 Guilin - Yangshuo ( Meals: B/L/- )
Breakfast at your hotel. Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo, waterway from Guilin to Yanshuo is the masterpiece of the Li River scenery. It is the most typical karst topography in northeastern Guangxi .Transfer to the hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles.(Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, we suggests that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today.)

Day 09 Yangshuo ( Meals: B/-/- )
Breakfast at your hotel. We intend to leave the day free at Yangshou. You can find West Street with the breathtaking scenery and have a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe feeling totally relaxed. You can rent a bicycle to visit the Moon Hill and the Tall Banyan.

Day 10 Guilin-Shanghai by soft sleeper train ( Meals: B/L/- )
Breakfast at your hotel. Drive back to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Cave is Guilin's largest and most impressive cave, the Seven Star Park, is the largest comprehensive park with mass scenery in Guilin City and the Elephant Trunk Hill, as symbol of Guilin, it has become one of the most popular natural monuments. It resembles an elephant drinking from the Li River. Transfser to the Guilin railway station and take the soft sleeper train to Shanghai
in the afternoon. Dinner will be by yourself at the train.

Day 11 Shanghai ( Meals: -/-/- )
Arrive in Shanghai in the afternoon and our Shanghai guide will meet you at railway station and transfer to the hotel. If time permits Visit Shanghai Museum where you will discover beautiful collections of bronze, porcelain, sculptures and calligraphy. Visit Xintiandi former dwelling quarter newly rehabilitated into a trendy entertainment area.

Day 12 Shanghai ( Meals: B/L/D )

Breakfast at local restaurant. Visit Nanjing Road, the Bund,  the famous avenue that parallels the Huang Pu River. The road is lined with some of the most prestigious buildings and landmarks of the city, mostly erected during the time of the foreign concessions. The river acts as a mirror between the old and the new Shanghai. Pudong features a futuristic city devoted to business and finance with its facade of skyscrapers. From the top of the Television Tower, known as the Pearl of the Orient, lunch at the Revoving Restaurant there. you will have an overall view of the city while have you lunch. In the afternoon visit Jade Buddha Temple, it is the most famous and one of the most active Buddhist temples in Shanghai. Named for its two bejeweled white jade Buddha, one is 1000kg, 1.9 meter-high figure carved from Burmese jade brought to China in 1882, the Yuyuan Garden, It is well worth a meander through the Yu Garden, which has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways.Dinner at local restaurant. The dinner will be serve and followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.

Day 13 Departure from Shanghai ( Meals: B/-/- )
